'Move fast and cut scope' is good MVP advice. 'Move fast and cut architecture' is how you end up rebuilding the product at Series A instead of adding features.
The scope you cut for an MVP should be features a user would notice missing. The architecture decisions you don't cut are the ones that are expensive to change later and cheap to get right early like how you model your core data, how you handle auth, whether the system assumes one tenant or many from day one.
We ask founders one question before scoping: what does this look like at ten times the users? Not to build for that scale now, but to make sure today's shortcuts don't foreclose it.
